About ABRI

The ABRI consists of those who work in forensic investigation and promote excellence in investigation through high standards, excellent credentials, and a solid forensics foundation. The ABRI seeks to set the standard for criminal, private, public, auditing, accounting, medical, and all other forensic investigators.

Achieving Diplomate Status

Check out our site to find more information about becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Registered Investigators. If you are not a member of ACFEI, please feel free to check out our membership opportunities and become one of the elite with a membership in ACFEI.

Requirements

  • Be a member in good standing with ACFEI for at least two (2) years.
  • Successfully complete the Certified Criminal Investigator program.
  • Have appropriate educational degree(s) from accredited university(s) and/or? have two (2) years of relative experience in a investigation-related field.
  • Have no felony convictions or ethical violations in the last ten (10) years, as well as not be under investigation by any legal, accounting, or licensing board.
  • Agree to adhere to ACFEI’s Principles of Professional Practice.
  • Submit, via mail or fax, your curriculum vitae/professional resume, plus copies of forensic reports and court transcripts and/or depositions indicating forensic experience in the field(s) represented by the advisory board to which you are applying.
  • Dedicate yourself to continuing education. Diplomates are expected to complete 15 hours of forensic-related continuing education per year from ACFEI or an equivalent organization.
